Can Tho Marathon - A Heritage Race Delayed to December 2022

 

A specific date for the 2022 race will be advised later.

While the pandemic control has shown some progress after the virus’ recent re-emergence in Ho Chi Minh City and many southern provinces had left heavy impacts, the delay of this year's race is a force majeure as leaders of the Can Tho People's Committee and the marathon’s Organizing Committee always prioritize the safety of runners and of the general public.

The Committee is committed to bring forward all runners' slots to the 2022 race. It will advise the runners of the specific time for a new race date when accurate information becomes handy.

The Committee will send emails to runners and post regular updates on the marathon's website and fan page. Runners are kindly requested to check email regularly and follow the fan page to always receive the earliest notice of promotions, incentives and related information.

The Organizing Committee would like to thank the runners for understanding and companionship. We wish the runners to always be optimistic, keep up with training, comply with the safety rule (known as the 5K rule) in the context that the risk of a flare-up remains in place.

The Organizing Committee looks forward to welcoming all the runners who have loved and supported the race in Can Tho on the new race day in December 2022.

The Can Tho Marathon - A Heritage Race, a competition carrying typical river basin features in the west of Vietnam's southern region, is part of the Heritage Race system copyrighted and organized by DHA Vietnam. At the last time, at its debut in December 2019, the race attracted more than 1,200 Vietnamese and foreign marathoners.

Can Tho Marathon - A Heritage Race represents an opportunity to discover the charming beauty of the western land in Vietnam's southern region through each running step. The marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors, counting from 2022.
